01What they are
A cookie, or a similar technology such as the browser’s local storage, lets a website store or read information on your device. Some are necessary for a website to work; others are used to measure how it is used, to personalise it or to show advertising.
02What we use today
This is the complete list of what our website stores in your browser right now:

Today we do not use analytics or marketing cookies: even if you accept them, none is loaded. In the next section you will find the ones we will use once we switch those tools on.
The private Big Plum Connect panel (connect.bigplumdigital.com) also uses a necessary session cookie to keep authorised users signed in. It is deleted when you close the browser.
03What we will use with your permission
These are the cookies that Google’s and Meta’s tools will set once we switch them on. They are not active yet. When they are, each one will only load if you accept its category.

Google and Meta may also set cookies on their own domains, such as google.com, facebook.com or instagram.com, especially if you are signed in to their services. They explain them in Google’s cookie policy and Meta’s cookie policy. The names and durations are the ones Google and Meta state: once we switch the tools on, we will check the ones actually set and update this table.
Facebook and Instagram content. If a page shows a Facebook or Instagram post or video, we do not load it until you accept marketing, because Meta sets its cookies when it is shown.
Measurement from our server. If you have accepted marketing and send us a form, we may tell Meta from our server that an enquiry has arrived (Conversions API). We explain this in our privacy policy.
04How we ask for your consent
The first time you visit, we show you a notice to accept, reject or configure the categories. Non-necessary ones are switched off by default, and rejecting is as easy as accepting: both buttons are in the first notice.
Until you decide, no analytics or advertising tool is loaded, not even a cookieless one.
We keep your choice for 12 months so we do not ask you on every visit. We will ask you again after that time, if you clear your browser data or if we change the tools we use.
05Categories
- Necessary
- Essential for security, navigation, loading the website and storing your consent choice. They cannot be switched off.
- Analytics
- Let us count visits and see how the website is used so we can improve it, with Google Analytics. They are only enabled with your consent. They are not active yet.
- Marketing
- Let us measure our Google Ads, Facebook and Instagram campaigns, see which ads bring enquiries, show ads to people who have already visited us (remarketing) and load Facebook and Instagram content. They may be used to build a profile from your browsing, for example the pages you visit. They are only enabled with your consent. They are not active yet.
06Google and Consent Mode
The website tells Google your consent status (Consent Mode). By default it is sent as denied for analytics and marketing, and it only changes if you accept those categories. Google’s tags are also not loaded until you do.
If you accept them, Google may receive personal data for measurement, advertising and security. You can read how Google processes it on its business data responsibility site.
07Who receives the data
- Google Ireland Limited (Ireland), together with Google LLC (United States). In Google Analytics, Google processes the data on our behalf. In Google Ads, it also uses it for its own advertising purposes, as a controller, under its terms.
- Meta
- Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Ireland), together with Meta Platforms, Inc. (United States). We are joint controllers with Meta for collecting the pixel and Facebook and Instagram content data and sending it to Meta; what Meta does with it afterwards is Meta’s responsibility, under its privacy policy.
- Transfers
- Google LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc. are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as an adequate safeguard. You will find more detail in our privacy policy.
- Your ads
- As well as your choice here, you can adjust the ads you see in Google’s My Ad Center and in Meta’s ad preferences.
08External links and services
Some links on the website lead to third-party services, such as WhatsApp or social networks. When you open them you leave our website, and those services apply their own cookies and policies.
09Changing your choice and deleting cookies
You can accept, reject or adjust the categories at any time, from the button on this page or from the icon at the bottom left. Withdrawing your consent is as easy as giving it.
If you withdraw a permission, we delete those tools’ cookies on our domain and reload the page so they stop working. The ones Google or Meta keep on their own domains are deleted from your browser settings.
